Sham Family Dinner

The NY Sham's gathered for a dinner at the usual place on 45th Street in Brooklyn yesterday. We get there and tell them we need a table for six and the person there asks if we wanted to be seated together. It was the most bizarre question. Why wouldn't we be seated together? I understand sometimes they'll ask if you want to share a table (especially during dim sum hours), but if we're coming to dinner together, I think it would be obvious we'd want to sit together, especially since a party of six isn't that large that we would need to be split up.

We enjoyed the food there, but it was very very salty! We've never drank so much tea before.
